BETTER CHOICES™ is not just the title of this book. It is also a goal for everyone who invests the time to complete the program. In BETTER CHOICES™, Dr. Faye Hargrove guides you through the Decision Reframing Process™ to let go of the stored negative emotions that impact the decisions you make every day.
There are 3 basic components to the BETTER CHOICES™ program.
- In Part I, you come to understand how the choices you make today are influenced by your experiences from the past. You learn about frames and how the memories and experiences from your past influence who you are today.
- In Part II, using the Decision Reframing Process, you will have the opportunity to clear out barriers such as fear, bitterness, hostility, self-doubt, feelings of inadequacy, grief, depression, anxiety, and resentment. Every decision you make today gets filtered through these stored negative emotions.
- In Part III, free of the stored negative emotions from past experiences, you will complete the mind mapping exercise and set SMART goals for your future. The four-week journal in Chapter 11 will give you the opportunity to practice living with your new perspective and to reinforce new habits.
When you clear out the stored negative emotions from past events, you will have a clearer perspective. You will recognize that you have the power to choose how you will react to both past and current situations. You can choose to have an attitude that will allow you to live your daily life with confidence, optimism and peace.
